As a general guide, planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits should take place twice per year as a minimum, however many Clients prefer the PPM to be carried out at shorter intervals in-line with manufacturers’ recommendations.

The following checks should be made during the routine maintenance visits:

  • Visually examine the control panel and repeaters

  • Examine and test power supplies and standby batteries

  • Load test all sealed acid batteries, log and report.

  • Bi-annual test of all manual call points

  • Annual test 100% of automatic alarm devices

  • Test and report all external interfaces

  • Annual test of all warning devices.
